Bright, bold colours in makeup is what it’s all about this coming Spring and Summer.
Yellow, acid green, purple, pink and my favourite – blue!
Matching the nail to the eye is the newest way to wear colour, I’ve gone for a lighter
shade on the eye and a brighter one on the nail but you could also use matching shades.
On sun kissed skin or fair these new brights are so fresh and easy to wear. For an
everyday summery look keep to just one statement colour and maybe add a
tinted lip balm, I used Nars South Pacific on the eye with a touch of Nars Soft touch in Goddess
to the inner corners of the eye, and Chantecaille Lip Potion on the lip. The nail is OPI Dating a Royal.
For a more statement or evening look I used Stila in Peacock under the eye, with NARS longwear eyeliner in Abbey Road,
and lots of Kevyn Aucoin Volume Mascara. Add a bright lip like NARS Funny Face or NARS Schnapps.
Keep your skin dewey and foundation sheer, only concealing where you really need it. When wearing bright colours on the eye
always keep cheek colour to a minimum, I like to add a dab of cream blush for a beautiful fresh summery look.
